What do they do?

SLS provides exceptional and effective, individually designed training solutions.

What was the problem?

SLS was moving to a brand new office located in Gloucester that had no telephone lines, broadband or telephone systems installed. They wanted a low cost telephone system that supported three telephones with exchange functionality including call holding, transfer and voicemail.

What did we do?

As SLS didn’t want to install telephone lines, we advised them to use an IP system. Initially we were
concerned that as they would be running this on a standard ADSL that the call quality may suffer but were very pleasantly surprised at how well it all works and the call quality is excellent. Normally we would recommend a QOS service, which would be sensible to transfer to if the number of lines
increases. We have ensured that SLS have the ability to increase their capacity (number of lines) very easily on a simple pay as you go basis though Gradwell Centrex.

The phones are TAPI compliant. This means that they can connect to any TAPI compliant product such as Outlook, Goldmine or Act. In addition, once they reach the size where a full exchange is required the existing phones will work with it.

The benefits to SLS are clear. They have free calls to other IP phone users and reduced call charges to BT and mobile phones. They are also able to take this system with them should they move premises again and would even be able to keep their existing telephone numbers.
