Our goal is to provide information, here, to our clients about software which is available on the Internet free of charge. There is plenty about and the big problem is sifting through the rubbish, to find the gems which will actually help us do our jobs.

The first one - qvPdf. Most computer users know about PDF documents - on a MAC creation is built in, on a PC not so. Do not pay money for software to do this for you.

You can find it on http://sourceforge.net/projects/qvpdf (the worlds largest repository of open source software - open source, another story). Once you downloaded it, it is easy to install and next time you go to print, you will find a new printer - qvPdf. Print to this and you will be able save or directly email your generated PDF document.

qvPdf gets my thumbs up. We encountered a few minor issues with it in some scenarios, but in most standard computers it works beautifully and is very quick.
